Multi-Instrumentalist and Session Singer
Sally Minnear is a UK-based singer and multi instrumentalist. Daughter of Kerry Minnear of the hugely influential ʼ70ʼs progressive band Gentle Giant, she has been steeped in music throughout her life. Sally enjoys an eclectic mix of music styles and her voice is versatile, however it has a natural, folky quality and she has always felt drawn to Celtic music (it must be her family’s Cornish heritage!).
Through her university years, Sally played and sang in a traditional Irish band which went some way to preparing her for her future role as featured vocalist in Michael Flatleyʼs hugely successful dance show ʻLord of the Danceʼ. Sally toured for two years with the production, performing in concert halls, theatres and arenas all around the world.
Since then, Sally has contributed vocals to projects and live performances with artists such as Dave Bainbridge, Dave Brons, Pendragon, Lifesigns, Dave Kerzner, John Holden, I Am the Manic Whale, Pablo Ortiz, Dan Avidan & Super Guitar Bros, Matt Steady, Zopp and many others. She has begun working on her first solo album, which she hopes will feature a good number of the wonderful musicians she has had the privilege of working with over the years.
